Wencil Kazda Obituary

KAZDA

Wencil Kazda, 86, retired contractor, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Wyseman of 1117 South Ninth street.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. 

Mr. Kazda was born in Bohemia in 1853 and accompanied his parents to Cooperstown in 1858. Fifty-five years ago he came to this city, engaging in blacksmithing and other work. He entered the general contracting business and built a number of larger homes on the north side of the river. He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge.

Mr. Kazda served four years as a member of the County Board from the Fourth ward.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Wyseman, both of this city.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Wednesday noon until the hour of services.
