Alice Haas at 1900 Jewish Fair

18 Feb 1900 New Orleans Times Picayune:

Jewish Fair Will Close To-Night

...There has been no feature at the fair which has attracted more pleasing attention than Rebecca at the Well. Miss Alice Rosalind Haas is not only a pretty and charming young lady, but has a way of attracting people to her which has made the receipts of that department phenominal, considering the limited scope of the business, which is confined to the sale of lemonade. She has worn a very strikingly attractive costume consisting of white crepe de chene with pearls; a cap of pine taune velvet with pearls; glit sauraris; mousselin de sole sleeves; a girdle of pearls, and a smile of frank cordiality.
