Alex Loupe's Ad for Runaway Servant
The copy of the ad is difficult to read so is reproduced here.
ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS REWARD---Ran away from the subscribe on the 15th . The Mulatto girl FELENOR, about 15 or 16 years of age, small size, long black hair and black eyes, a Creole by birth, and first rate hair dresser. Said girl was born and has remained in the city, and was never out of it. I have no doubt but she is harbored in the French part of the city, where she was raised. I will pay $50 for her delivery at David Wisc's depot, No. 73 Baronne street, and $100 for the conviction of the person or persons that harbor her. The above girl was raised by M'me LaBarre. A. Loupe
