Systematic Cruelty Charged By Wife

San Francisco, Jan 12-A complaint for divorce charging “systematic cruelty” over a period of one year “designed to persecute and annoy her” is on file here today against Dr. Sidney R. Dannenbaum, filed by his wife, Mrs. Genevieve Dannenbaum, prominent in San Francisco society.

 

Mrs. Danennbaum charges that he was cold and indifferent toward her and belittled and annoyed her before her friends. She asks permission to resume her maiden name of Genevieve Mills. A property settlement was made out of court.

 

Mrs. Dannenbaum is living at 1926 Jackson street, following their separation of six months ago. She is a niece of Susan Mills, founder of Mills College. The couple was married by Superior Judge Trout on August 21, 1921.

Mrs. G. Dannenbaum Wins Divorce Decree

San Francisco, Jan. 14--Mrs. Genevieve Dannenbaum is posessed with an interlocutory decree of divorce today from her husband, Dr. Sidney Dannenbaum. Before Judge Walter Perry Johnson she recited a tale of her husband’s sullen and morose disposition and of his request that she move to Burlingame, leaving him alone in San Francisco. Her maid, Paula Publicovic, corroborated this testimony. The couple were married in July 17, 1921 and separated August 16, 1926. Mrs. Dannnenbaum is a niece of Susan Mills, Founder of Mills college.
